Kristy Placido

Author Kristy Placido is an educator, a language acquisition specialist, an author, an editor, and a curriculum specialist.  She began her teaching career in 1997.  A few years later, Kristy began writing curriculum and training World Language teachers, and not long after, published her first comprehensible novel, Robo en la Noche, with Fluency Matters (now Wayside Publishing).

Kristy has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Michigan World Language Teacher of the Year (2021), the ACTFL Global Engagement Initiative Award (2016).

Now a managing editor at Wayside Publishing, Kristy is  publishing her own novel, El cuento del ratón Pérez, through her company, Placido Language Resources
